In 1947, a brave and determined man named Vinchenzo Cavassa arrived in Cusco from Italy with dreams and hopes for a better life. With the passage of time, Vinchenzo settled in the city and formed a family, being his son Alberto Cavassa a prominent figure in the Cusco community.
Alberto Cavassa stood out for his commitment to the city and its people. He married Aura Cosio de Cavassa, an exceptional woman known for her love and dedication to abandoned children. Together, Alberto and Aura founded shelters for these abandoned children, giving them a home and hope for the future.
From the union of Alberto and Aura was born Jesus Alberto Cavassa Cosio, the firstborn of the family, who stood out for his passion for life and his commitment to others. However, in 1971, tragedy struck the Cavassa-Cosio family when Jesús Alberto died in a tragic plane crash in Cusco, leaving an irreparable void in the hearts of his family and the Cusco community.
The loss of Jesús Alberto marked a turning point in the life of the Cavassa-Cosio family, further uniting its members in grief and strengthening their commitment to help others in honor of the legacy of their lost son and brother.
Years later, in the midst of difficult times marked by political and social instability, Carlos Cavassa Cosio, son of Alberto and Aura, decided to honor his family's legacy by restoring an old house in ruins and turning it into Hospedaje Don Alberto.
After the devastating earthquake of 1986, the house was left in ruins, reflecting the difficult situation faced by the city in those turbulent times. However, Auribel Cavassa, daughter of Carlos Cavassa, made the decision to revive the family legacy and enhance the value of this beautiful property. With determination and dedication, Auribel transformed the old house into a cozy and elegant refuge, thus being born Casa Cavassa, a place that not only offers lodging, but also a story of love, commitment and resilience that will last for generations.
Through time, the love and memory of Jesús Alberto Cavassa Cosio continue to live in the heart of his family and in every corner of Casa Cavassa, reminding them of the importance of valuing every moment and appreciating the beauty of life.
